How is the flat bed trailer transported in a container?

There are various methods for shipping flatbed trailers to clients, including bulk cargo, roll-on-roll-off, and container shipping. While bulk and ro-ro options may be more cost-effective, container shipping is often chosen due to its ability to reach certain destinations or for enhanced transportation safety. Here's how to transport a flat deck trailer within a container:

  1. Shipping in a 45-Foot Container:

    • For a 45-foot container, most container van trailers can be directly loaded. The container can accommodate two such trailers.

    • Before loading, the flatbed semi-trailer requires minor preparation: tires are removed, and if equipped with a baffle, it too is detached.

    • Utilizing cranes and forklifts, the trailers are carefully placed into the container, alternating between the two to optimize space.

    • Finally, any accessories are loaded alongside the trailers.

  2. Shipping in a 40-Foot Container:

    • Shipping a 40-foot trailer in a 40-foot container necessitates docking the trailer. However, not all 40-foot trailers are suitable for this; the decision must be made prior to production.

    • We specialize in producing dockable flatbed semi-trailers, typically featuring a long rear suspension design. These trailers are manufactured in two sections that can be bolted together.

    • We provide installation accessories to enable easy assembly upon receipt.

    • During shipping, the trailer's tail is docked first, followed by separately packing the frame and tail into the container.

    • This approach simplifies transportation, ensures ease of operation, and saves on sea freight costs while maintaining the trailer's quality.

As a reputable semi-trailer manufacturer, we prioritize not just quality products but also customer convenience. Trust us for your truck trailer needs, and we assure you of the finest quality at competitive prices.
